Britney was a dancer as a youngster and was a great gymnast, winning numerous
competitions. Britney was an excellent performer and dancer. Britney auditioned
for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) at the age of 8. The show was not
accepted due to her young age. This led her to an off-Broadway musical,
"Ruthless", for 2 years as the title character. At the age of 11, she
again tried for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) and she made the show as a
mouseketeer with many stars of today (Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez of *NSYNC
and Ryan Gosling). However, her most notable break was in the late 1990s when
she was signed to be a Jive Recording artist. When she released her debut
album, "...Baby One More Time" in the early part of 1999, Britney
became a global hit having sold 13 million copies of "Baby" and 9

Spears & Jamie Spears She has a big brother named Bryan Spears
& a little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was destined to be the
next big thing from an early age. Britney loved singing and was inspired by
Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. After having a lot of singing and dancing
classes and performing in numerous showcases and fairs, Britney auditioned for
The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) television series [1989-1994] when she 8years
old, however, she was too young to be able to audition for the role. Instead,
Britney, her mother and baby sister relocated to New York where she starred in
several TV ads and in the off-Broadway show, "Ruthless", where she
worked as an understudy to Natalie Portman. The love for music and dance took
over and, 2 years after, she auditioned for part in "Mickey Mouse"
again and, this time, was selected for the role with Christina Aguilera and
Justin Timberlake.
