Arnel Pineda

Arnel Pineda is an Filipino music producer and singer who came to the limelight in the Philippines in the 1890s, and internationally in 2007 when he was the lead singer in the American rock band Journey. His father, who was in debt for six months and unable to provide for his family's needs decided to approach his family members to adopt Arnel. Arnel has three siblings: Roderick Pineda, Joselito Pineda, and Russmon Pineda. Arnel became aware of the severity of his situation and quit school in order to ease his father's burden. Arnel lived for nearly two years on the streets, sleeping wherever the best he could at public parks or the narrow benches outside of the home of a close friend. He took glass bottles, newspapers and scrap metals, and made them available to recyclers. Arnel also had odd jobs, including docking ships or cleaning scrap metal. Cherry Pineda and Arnel are married. In 2001, the couple were married. The couple has had two kids two daughters: a daughter (Thea Chenelle Pineda) and an infant son (Cherub). Arnel also has two older sons, Matthew and Angelo.
